VPV Interactive is an interactive agency which plans, designs and develops full-scale branding and marketing efforts. This includes identity design, web development, social networking, e-commerce, e-mail marketing and more. Established in 2007, VPV has worked for clients in a variety of industries, including Sports, Hospitality, Luxury Brands, etc. Some of our past and current clients include: The Baltimore Ravens, USA Football, Yelo Spa, Project Franchise, and more.

About the Job:

We are aggressively seeking an experienced, motivated and pro-active Interactive Business Development Specialist. In this role you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new clients for VPV Interactive. You will be working to generate leads and set up new business meetings for VPV through existing contacts and unknown potential clients based on your market research.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ability to strategically develop leads and set meetings with potential clients.
• Conduct both internal and external fact finding research to better understand potential clients’ marketing needs.
• Identify key organizational decision-makers, and find ways to introduce VPV to them.
• Possess a general understanding of interactive products and services for sales meetings.
• Communicate the business value of Interactive products and services to potential clients.
• Work with the president and creative director to prepare materials for initial meeting.
• Provide progress updates on a monthly and quarterly basis to the President.
• Coordinate the transition of new accounts to the project manager, who will handle project management.
• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and thoroughly enjoy interactive marketing and sales – love your work!
• Must live with in commuting distance of Manhattan, New York, and be able to commute often if needed.

Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year college or university.
• Strong understanding of the industry including Interactive Media, marketing / branding solutions, and online media.
• Strong and large network of relevant contacts – marketing directors, presidents, vice presidents, and other key decision makers.
• Excellent verbal, written, communication, prioritization, and organizational skills. Must be able to handle multiple deals at any given time.
• Strong execution and follow-up skills, as well as business and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with iWork ‘09.
• Aggressive, entrepreneurial, life-loving spirit.

Compensation, Benefits and Hours:

This position is a commission based position and requires an entrepreneurial spirit and passion to succeed. Since there is no full time salary, the commission received will be significantly higher than the industry standard, and will be dependent upon experience, contacts and the clients that you sign to contracts for VPV.

We will assist in getting you benefits, if you need them, through the Freelancers Union.

This position is NOT a typical 9-5. Since it is a commission only position, how much you work will be determined by you. Your hours are completely flexible, and you’ll have the ability and freedom to learn and grow as you progress.
